One-to-one appointments

Short and long-term therapeutic counselling for individuals

I am currently operating a waiting list for new clients. Please arrange an initial call if you would like to join the waiting list.

Initial call

If you are interested in beginning counselling with me, please book a free 30-minute initial call. This can be by phone, video call, or messaging and will give us the chance to see if I am able to offer you what you are looking for. If you can’t find a time that suits, let me know as I may be able to find a time that does.

At the end of the call, I will let you know if I think I can help. If you would like to work with me, we will discuss how the assessment process will work best for you.

Assessment

In the assessment, I will ask you about your life and background, from childhood to now. I will ask you about relationships, mood, health, and your reason for seeking therapy. The assessment session is aimed at establishing if this is the right service for you at this time, and if it is, we will be able to discuss what therapy may look like in ongoing sessions. When you click the button to book an assessment, you will be prompted to complete a form first. Please follow the instructions.

Ongoing appointments

Please complete an assessment before arranging ongoing appointments.

When you book ongoing appointments, you will have a choice to book the same day and time every week (and your regular time will be saved for you), or to book at different times to suit your schedule.

The earlier in advance you book, the more likely your preferred time will be available but if you can’t find an appointment time that works for you, please let me know as I may be able to find a time that works.

Check-in

When you could do with a check-in by email, messaging, or via phone or video call, this short appointment gives you the chance to speak to your therapist between sessions, if you are taking a break before the next session, or when you are ending sessions but not quite ready to stop entirely.

Regular sessions

A common choice for regular sessions e.g. once a week, same day, same time. When meeting every week, the hour gives a lot of people enough time to discuss an issue without becoming too tired.

Extended sessions

When an hour is not enough time, the extended session gives that extra room to settle in, feel heard, and reflect. Some people may choose this option every week, others may choose it when they have had a break between sessions, or when there is a lot on their mind.

Longer sessions

When you are looking to work at a deeper level, longer sessions give you that chance. Please let me know if you are unable to find longer appointment times as I may be able to find a time that works for you.
