Tailoring our service to you

We will listen and take notice of any barriers or difficulties you may face when accessing our service and work with you, as you are, to accommodate your needs and make our service accessible to you wherever we can. This could be;

  • Automatic repeat or one off reminders (e.g. to make an appointment, to reflect on the session and take any actions discussed, prepare for the next session, or words to boost self esteem)
  • Personalised boundary and discipline mentoring (e.g. tailored level of strictness/flexibility)
  • Support between sessions (e.g. a number you can message between sessions, with therapist input as agreed)
  • Support if you suspect you have a condition, deciding whether to go for diagnosis, researching options, choosing route, going to the GP, waiting for assessment, assessment, medication, and learning how to live life with a diagnosis, reflecting on an earlier diagnosis, or learning how to live life without a diagnosis
  • Psychoeducation, actionable coping strategies, and emotion intelligence mentoring
  • Sensory sensitivity coaching
  • Finding stabilisers while you get everything you need in place to go solo
  • Work on self esteem (e.g. because of how you have been treated because of your neurodiversity or other characteristics)
  • Your pace – 30 minute/1 hour/1.5 hour or 2 hour sessions
  • Regular appointments reserved for you, ad hoc appointments also available
  • Make and manage appointments via online booking page yourself, or directly with me
  • Understanding of neurodiversity such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, and mental health conditions particularly relating to trauma and insecure attachment
  • Understanding of chronic illness and persistent/chronic pain
  • Use of captions
  • Sending you your session notes (e.g. sending words, bullet points, or notes at the end of the session for a reminder of what was covered)
  • Concessionary rates
  • Safe space for people with gender, sexual, and relationship diversity
  • Understanding of caring roles
  • Working within your belief system
